OR1 Prusik Pairs (8mm)

These pre-tied Prusiks are the correct length for tandem triple wrapped 8mm Prusiks. 8 mm Prusiks match best with 11 mm rope. Tandem Prusiks when used as a pair will catch a 600 lb. (2 person) load. Tandem Prusks should be used either as a belay or when tensinoning a highline.

Another suggestive thought held by many is to always carry a prusik whenever you get on rope.  In the event of a gear “blow-out”, having a prusik along & knowing how to tie one onto the rope could make the difference between continuing your climb or needing to be rescued.
